    shoulder presses

    bw 5 sets of 10

***the last few session hasn't been too bad. squats went awesome. i had more in the tank for about 50lbs more. we are goin straight weight next week to see what this band training has done with our squats. today trained a little earlier than normal but still did 430 for 10 and 500 for 3 on raw bench. weight feels lighter though. 500 isn't heavy anymore so 5 reps are comin and not bad considering i was a half-strength today too. we had a short session since the gym closed at 1pm today. sucks.

    still gotta do work,
    TB

***today i still did some good work but didn't have the energy. we trained a bit earlier than normal but that's ok. just gotta work harder, right? 500 and 430 didn't feel heavy at all to me and that's awesome. gettin close to doin 500 for 4-5 soon. did 335 for 8 on shoulder presses and next time i will do 10. no prob there.

***today was a good deadlift day. my sumo pulls are gettin better. i'm puttin the weight on my heels more and keepin upright more too. we will see what this does to my conventional pull in a month or two. its been helpin my dead a lot by doin sumo pulls and shrugs too. jon killed his reps with 515 for an easy 10 and matt focused more on tech work on his pulls and it got better as he worked harder to get into position. i know though by him pulling sumo is helping him a ton conventional. i would bet that 600 raw wouldn't be tough for him anymore...on a side note why is it that when people see powerlifter thats in good condition think they should be a bodybuilder? BIG IRON guys take their conditioning seriously and none of them look like a traditional powerlifters. jim grandick is 258 right now and does cardio 5 days a week and still hammering up some sick numbers in training. kazmaier was huge and jacked back in his day and one day i wouldn't mind having that same combo...ya know? it upsets me when people see the view on powerlifters as fatass and overweight SOBs. that image is changing though as the sport is becoming more about conditioning.

its best we continue to recreate the image of a powerlifter,
