    Default creatine and upset stomach

    Does anyone have any tricks for not getting an upset stomach after taking creatine mono? I have tried taking it with food and after and it still makes me feel a little crappy for a bit after I take it. I am only taking 5g with about 8oz of gatorade. I appreciate any ideas, thanks.

    Put it in your post workout shake or pre workout shake with honey, tastes great with chocolate flavors. The honey will help move the creatine along a little faster. Plus since it's a shake and most usually do two scoops you will be takin in more fluid which could be your problem, just not having enough water with it. On a side not when taking creatine I believ you should keep water higher than normal. For instane I drink about 1 1/2 gallons a day easily of just straight water, but now that I am using creatine as of two days ago I am making sure to drink atleast 2 gallons.

    ^^Seems like a solid tip. I have never had the stomach issues that some get with creatine. I scoop it right onto my tongue and then chug a glass of water. That might help get it into your system fast enough to not screw up you stomach. I sometimes add mine to a shake too.

    I do drink at least a gallon and a half of water, I have been taking ancient with no problems but I started taking mono powder and the stomach issues have come up...

    I always took it with either regular or white grape juice. That helped me from having upset stomach.

    i have been taking ancient strength with food(typically about 2 hours before workout) and drinking a juice or gatorade.

    seems to be working great for me. If i take it on an empty gut, I feel a little discomfort, but nothing excessive.

    plenty of h20!!!!!!

    Creatine can have that effect. I think you can avoid it though.
