My friends and Fellow Americans, This year support Ron Paul for Republican Primary and president!
We as a nation have now become victims of our own government. Held captive and preyed on by the top ten pharmaceutical companies, who have more money and power then every other fortune five hundred company combined. The top ten have completely taken over in every facet of our government and nation’s leadership. No longer are we the great democracy we once were; rather now a dictatorship invested in disease, chronic illness, and obesity has been placed over us.
As former US Army, it pains me to say what I have and what I am about to say. Our ‘Under God’ is “under attack”, the Republic is no longer standing, our once indivisible has been divided up, along with our liberty and justice, handed to the top ten once and for all.
The money in Washington is ours and the people who work there is our supposed employees? Elected by the people for the people? I set aside partisanship a long time ago. I once believed that republicans represented morals and good family values. But now I understand that no matter what party you think you are, what side you think you stand on, and no matter what state you live in red or blue. Big business is running this country and the jokes on me and you.
What is it that I have been rambling on about? Am I just another conspiracy theorist like every other American who speaks out is made to look like? Or like I have this past year, have you felt it too? What’s the latest news, what branch of the government is sticking it to us this time America? What laws have been passed “against us”? What freedom have we lost this time? What right do I know longer have today? In the Media this is never the headlines. But here on the internet our last and only hope, these are the cries of a once great nation. This is the reason you are 4 paragraphs deep into this Article, and exactly what I am about to tell you about again!!!
Hours of my fellow Americans blood sweat and tears have been spent building this nation and for what? I am sure everyone remembers June 30th 2006. NO? Why would you, and after everything that has happen since then how could you? Well allow me to remind all of you what happen on that day.
On June 30th, 2006 a final ruling by the FDA went into effect. Establishing a regulatory power shift that bypassed all laws and our countries fundamental rights to protect our selves’ and loved ones. This final rule was only one step toward a greater goal which is now being laid out for all to see. On June 30th 2006 our American right to face our attacker in court was stripped from us by our government. Our right to sue, or even question the safety and legitimacy of a drug pushed on us through our doctors, on behalf of a major pharmaceutical drug rep was taken away. What our government did on that day was issue an insurance policy for to pharmaceutical industry along with these words.
“We think that if your company complies with the FDA processes, if you bring forward the benefits and risks of your drug, and let your information be judged through a process devised by the FDA, you should not be second-guessed by state courts or the Americans whose lives they will effect.”
This law reversed long standing policies that allowed states to protect our consumer rights and safety! However the states, along with local entities, and every man woman and child of America was not given a single solitary opportunity of any kind to object!
Executive order 13132 given by one of our nation’s last great leaders, President Ronald Reagan, States the FDA is to consult with every states governing agencies and local authorities, about the effects of each regulation it issues that affects the state and its people.
Nowhere in the first proposed rules did the FDA make any mentions of any kind , seek comment , or counsel from the states or Americans , about the provisions they later snuck in under our noises. In fact the only paperwork the states and Americans had a chance to lay eyes on the FDA’s exact words were that the new regulation to be enacted would absolutely not over rule or negate state law. However this is exactly what the FDA did six years later well everyone was sleeping like a thief in the night.
Six years between the purposed bill and the actual bill snuck in by the FDA was given to insure everyone was sound asleep. Resting on false information and lies hand fed by the FDA six years prior, Americans hand no chance! A complete abuse of agency process, and utter disregard for dual system of government that is in place to protect our rights and safety, And this is who we are supposed to trust to protect us from harm?
America we fell asleep once again, and like clockwork the government has snuck in and took our rights. On june 30th 2006 our government along with the FDA issued all the pharmaceutical companies an insurance policy. Then in January 2011 our US government handed the FDA a blank check to help insure that policy pays off!!
Despite the FDA’s inabilities to stop outbreaks of food born disease and its approval of deadly or at best problematic drugs (Ambien, Vioxx, and so many we lost count), our American government has taken away our rights to protect ourselves and choice how we as Americans want to insure we live healthy fit lives. We no longer have a choice!
I am not writing to you today to ask for your help in preventing the government from taking away every supplement we have ever known and come to rely on. No I am sorry to say, this has already been done! I was sleeping and so were you. Superfoods, multivitamins, detox supplements, and medicinal herbal products we have all come to depend on to prevent disease and boost our immune health could soon be stripped from store shelves and outlawed across the nation.
They have taken our hopes, our money, and our abilities to fight back and now even our choices of what we can and cannot take to keep us healthy will be stripped from us.
The pharmaceutical industry has been hard at work, doing everything it can to set the stage for the total annexation of the dietary supplement industry. We are going to lose every single supplement and natural product, cure, remedy therapeutic herb, municipal ingredient we have every known and there is nothing anyone can do about it!! The cold hard truth is now upon us. We are screwed beyond imagination.
America was lead to believe this was a good thing. That the supplement industry was evil and corrupt and had to stopped by the FDA before consumers get hurt. Even though few, if any deaths at all were reported in the newly implemented Adverse Event Reporting for dietary supplements, the Federal government is still aiming its regulatory muscle at vitamin, mineral and herbal pills. Despite the fact that dietary supplements are far safer than table salt, aspirin, vaccines and many FDA-approved drugs, they are being demonized. Year after year, surveys conducted by poison control centers show dietary supplements to be the safest products of all. Yet in the last 2 years the FDA has fought tooth and nail to demonize the supplement industry and label it hazardous to the consumers. Declaring too congress that it lacks the regulatory power to stop the supplement industry monster.

Remember the above letter date’s back pre 2003, and now just before the 4th of July weekend 2011, congress has just issued the blank check the FDA has been waiting for. In the wake of hundreds of dietary supplements recently being outlawed across the EU, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has quietly unleashed a regulatory scheme that, if fully implemented, could ban virtually all dietary supplements in the USA that were formulated after 1994.

More and more Americans understandably are frustrated with our government-controlled health care system. They have concluded that vitamins, minerals, and other supplements might help them stay healthy and less dependent on the system. The FDA, like all federal agencies, ultimately uses its regulatory powers in political ways. Certain industries and companies are rewarded, and others are punished. No regulatory agency is immune from politics, which is why the FDA should not be trusted with power over our intimate health care decisions.
The real issue is not whether supplements really work, or whether FDA drugs really are safe. The real issue is: Who decides, the individual or the state? This is the central question in almost every political issue. In free societies, individuals decide what medical treatments or health supplements are appropriate for them.
Over the past decade the American people have made it clear they do not want the federal government to interfere with their access to dietary supplements. In 1994, Congress bowed to overwhelming public pressure and passed the Dietary Supplements and Health and Education Act, which liberalized the rules regarding the regulation of dietary supplements. Congressional offices received a record number of comments in favor of the Act, which demonstrates how strongly Americans feel about health freedom.
The FDA simply has thumbed its nose at Congress and ignored the new rules in many instances, by attempting to suppress information about health supplements. But in 1999 a federal appellate court affirmed that the American people have a First Amendment right to such information without interference from the FDA. However, members of Congress have had to intervene with the FDA on several occasions to ensure that they followed the court order.
My regular listeners already know about another looming threat to dietary supplement freedom. The Codex Alimentarius Commission, an offshoot of the United Nations, is working to “harmonize” food and supplement rules between all nations of the world. Under Codex rules, even basic vitamins and minerals will require a doctor’s prescription. As Europe moves ever closer to adopting Codex standards, it becomes more likely that the World Trade Organization will attempt to force those standards on the United States. This is yet another example of how the WTO threatens American sovereignty. By cooperating with Codex, the FDA is blatantly ignoring the will of Congress and the American people”
