Could not agree more...I have been Facebook free for more than a month now. Strangest thing, believe it or not, the people that are truly important to me still KNOW what they mean to me.

Maybe when that person can't see you they just do it cuz they want u to know that they are still thinking of you while they are busy at work or something?

Yeah, and stuff like that is NICE at times... But when someone, and I know of a few people actually, put so much stock and value into a damned status line showing how you "feel" its just flipping absurd.

Really, what did we do before technology? Hmmm!?!

Either way, I'll still live by the motto "actions speak LOUDER then words" because that shows me a lot more, so I'm sure it does others as well. That is all.

Its fine for something like finding a old friend you have not seen in a few years. Like last week I saw a old friend at wallmart . he was a really really good friend growing up. I used to hang with him every day...we made plans to hang out soon and echanged numbers. well two days ago i found out from another old friend on face book that this friend of mine had just shot him self in the head and was dead. I was pretty upset about it...

becuase of face book i have been able to get in contact with some other old friends who were friends with him to. also his family,girl friend and kids. now i will be able to go to the wake and also help out his family. this would not have been posable if not for face book.

or i have a friend from the army who i have not seen in 7 years. i talk to her from time to time on face book. i thought i would never see here again after i had moved many times. and it was on myspace that we had contacted each other again.

things like this make sites like that worth something.

now if you got some person that sends you pm.s on one site, emails to your email, watches your face book and comments on it all day, sends msg on your myspace twitters you and about you all day lololol ya can get a little annoining . if that person is your woman or man then chances are its just a "new love thing" and it will linger off and lose its luster down the road. who knows by then you may start to miss it.

my wife sist in the other room all day long. i still would love for her to send me a msg even a couple of times a day or **** even once a day if it was a nice one lol

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, she was really texting me on the cell phone while she was typing this..That and leaving Jeff facebook comments, and also BB messaging someone too.

No, really though. I did a paper on this subject. I believe it was for sociology, not sure can't remember. But about how we now have stopped speaking even to those close by (location wise) due to the internet and cell phones. Now you can drop messages in every form instead of talking face to face..Kinda kills communication skills too because of all the slang talk and abbreviations.

Dang skippy girl!! You couldn't be MORE right on with all of that! I mean geeeez louise, I know I see "lol" or "haha" probably about 75% of what I read via text/bbm etc. How is THAT for communication!!

Ya I had a class for I/O Psych and went over this talking about how email is easier than the phone, and on the phone is easier than in person. Now its text and bbm. But its nice when you're at work and can't be on the phone, you got bbm. I make sure I say what I need to in person too

I haven't been on facebook much in a while, I use to use it mainly to screw around with people. I've probably been "married" or "engaged" to about 15 different people on Facebook.
